I grew up Catholic and was blessed to be surrounded by the faith from a young age. Even with the foundation of going to Catholic school, it wasn’t until my time at East Carolina University that my relationship with Jesus Christ truly came alive. Through the inviting community, genuine support, and authentic relationships with fellow students, I began to understand the depths of God’s love and the beauty of the Catholic faith. My heart was set aflame with the newfound understanding of Catholicism, leading to a profound reversion and a deeply rooted relationship with Jesus Christ.
During my involvement with the Catholic center, I was introduced to homeless ministry. These interactions helped open my eyes to see the dignity of each person and the desire to love them. Through these experiences, I came to realize that Christ was inviting me to not just know Him more deeply, but to share Him with others in a more intentional way.
After graduating, I became a full-time missionary on a college campus in Alabama where I had the privilege of walking with students in their journeys of faith. During the year, we started our own outreach to the local homeless community in Huntsville. Every Saturday for a few months we would go to this community and spend incarnation time with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. It was through these relationships that I really felt the Lord putting this ministry on my heart. Later in the year, our campus was assigned the mission trip with Source of All Hope in Baltimore. It was during this trip that I truly saw Christ in each person I interacted with. Through encounters on the street, the other missionaries, and witnessing what Source is, the Lord kept putting this mission trip on my heart.
The Lord continues to work in beautiful and unexpected ways, far beyond what I could ever plan or imagine. His path has lead me here, and I am continuing the call to mission as a Source of All Hope missionary!
Pursuing my calling as a missionary is only possible through the spiritual and financial support of mission partners. Your investment in this mission enables our community to go out and share life with our friends on the street day after day, where we address their biggest source of suffering—isolation—in a way that nobody else can. All the missionaries in our community are nourished and equipped through daily opportunities for spiritual, intellectual, and human formation; moreover, we will spend time in prayer before Christ in the Eucharist, growing closer in intimacy with the Lord and interceding for the needs of this suffering city. Your support makes all the difference, and I want to invite you to invest in both me and my community. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you and I will happily schedule a time to meet!
